Interpreting for the Deaf
Barbara Blake and Michael Silkowitz are using "pidgin sign" a combination of lip reading, traditional hand signs, finger spelling, and facial expressions, in working with the deaf and hard of hearing. On Saturday evenings, they sign for deaf and hard of hearing parishioners at a church service and have taught sign to hearing impaired seniors at a local adult community.

Annual MS Walk
Every spring, under the leadership of agent and team captain, Vinette Sabie, CENTURY 21 Major Realty, participates in the local fund raiser MS walk. The group raises money through soliciting donations and their own contributions

 Bible Club – East Dover Baptist Church

Vinette Sabie has a strong passion for serving and teaches children the importance of helping others and other Christian values on Wednesday nights at East Dover Baptist Church in Toms River. Vinette can also be found at the local food pantry run by East Dover Baptist Church Mission Board through their Messengers for Christ program. Vinette works hard to make sure more than 75 families a month will have food, organizes and participates in a Saturday food delivery service, making sure no one goes hungry.

Service To Our Country
As a Captain in the U.S. Army, Walt Johnson served in Europe, Korea and spent time in the western part of the US, specializing in Field Artillery.

Bill Charon retired from the U.S. Navy where he served as an Aviation Structural Mechanic and P-3 Navy Flight Engineer.
